The Wa-Hi Blue Devils Dance Team took second place in state March 23. The state competition took place at the Yakima Sundome and the Dance Team competed against 14 other teams. “[The routine was] the best of the year,” co-team captain senior Merrit Filan said.
The team scored 427 out of 500 while the winning team only won by ten points. “We had a solid performance,” co-team captain senior Emma Eskil said. “[The routine is more] jazz, soft movements with hard hitting ends.”
